Custom Work
In addition to the standard inner barrel models listed, EdGI also offers custom inner barrels. Custom barrels are produced to the players specifications in virtually any combination of length, inner diameter, outer diameter and hopup cut. At the players request, custom barrels may also be ported for an additional fee.
In order to produce a custom barrel, the following information is necessary:
| Length: | Maximum length of 800mm |
| ID: | Inner diameter between 5.98mm and 6.05mm |
| OD: | Outer diameter between 8.00mm and 9.70mm |
| Hopup: | Common hopup types include: Standard AEG, VSR-10, APS Type 96, Tanaka Rifle, KJW M700, KJW Mk1, KWA Pistols |
| OD Profile: | The OD profile describes the thickness of the barrel along it's length as well as any external grooves that may be required. In most cases the inner barrel has a straight profile. In certain applications, especially with inner bull barrels, sections of the outer diameter must be turned down to the stock OD in order to fit. |
| Porting: | Porting is a series of precision holes placed at the muzzle end of the barrel which act as an integrated muzzle brake. These holes allow excess air volume to vent away from barrel crown, reducing turbulence at the muzzle. Standard porting is done in a Y configuration with 4 rows of 3 holes. |
Custom barrel orders are collected and produced in batches every two weeks. Batches ship into the US approximately 1 to 2 weeks after the batch closing date for a total turnaround time of 3 to 4 weeks. Please call or email for pricing or to place a custom order.
